VIP Visitor to Dubai Would Be Getting Personalized Twitter Entry Stamp

On Monday, Jack Dorsey, the co-founder and CEO of social networking giant, after landing in Dubai got a special entry stamp on his passport.

Dorsey even tweeted a photo of the Dubai entry stamp and a special welcome sticker, which has the iconic Twitter logo bird next to the Dubai skyline. Along with the photo of the stamp, he tweeted in Arabic: “Marhaba Dubai.”

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, launched his Twitter handle after greeting Dorsey.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum tweeted that the UAE is glad to have welcomed Twitter’s CEO and cofounder @jack on his first visit to the Middle East and the UAE. He added that he is also happy to start his ne Twitter account in the presence of Dorsey. He further stated that

Dubai and Twitter have many things in common. Both stand as global hubs open for people, build bridges of understanding and dialogue among countries and depict platforms to support youth’s energies and creativity.

After welcoming Dorsey, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted that the UAE greets @jack, CEO and co-founder of Twitter and also a leader of positive change on social media, to the United Arab Emirates
