The UAE has managed to cross the 100-medal mark at the Special Olympics World Games which is taking place in Abu Dhabi. UAE managed to get its 100th medal at the Equestrian event.
At the end of the day’s events, the United Arab Emirates had a total of 126 medals of which 41 were gold. Among the rest, there were 25 silver meals and 35 bronze. The UAE had started the day with a total of 85 medals of which 29 were gold.
Talal Al Hashemi, Special Olympics UAE national director, has stated that getting 100 medals has been a great achievement but more is sure to come. He said that he hopes that UAE keeps going strong and that their vision is to take part with the maximum possible delegation. The results of that effort are now being experienced. UAE had managed to cross the 100-mark by the afternoon on Monday itself.
