Sheikh Mohammed with Hindi Tweet Wishes Diwali to Indians

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai took to twitter in order to wish Happy Diwali to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from wishing India’s PM Modi, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum also conveyed his Diwali wish to all people who were celebrating the Festival of Lights in the UAE and across the globe. The twitter handle of His Highness Rashid Al Maktoum read that he was wishing India’s PM Narendra Modi and anyone celebrating Diwali on behalf of the entire UAE. He stated that he wishes that the light of hope and love shines all over them. He even cheered the people living and celebrating Diwali in the UAE should share their pictures.

Indian Twitterati responded to the appeal of His Highness Rashid Al Maktoum by sharing pictures of their Diwali celebrations. They used the hashtag #UAEDiwali. In fact, many users even shared pictures of their Rangolis and other similar decorations of their offices or homes.

Diwali is basically the festival of light and it celebrates the victory of good over evil; it also marks the victory of light over darkness. The five day celebration starts with Dhanteras and it’s followed by Choti Diwali, Badi Diwali, Govardhan Pooja, and ends with Bhai Dooj.

This year, Dubai marked the Diwali celebration with a lot of activities. While firecrackers were lighted at Dubai Creek; even musical performances, display of powerful cars, and attempt to create a world record of lighting diyas was taken.
