Sharjah Heritage Festival Inaugurated By Sultan

The 16th Edition of the Sharjah Heritage Days at the Cultural Heritage Events Centre was inaugurated by His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Sharjah Institute for Heritage organized the event which is titled as ‘With Heritage, We Rise’. The event will run up to 21st April.

Large number of visitors from different countries and organizations will be attending the to witness the rich aspects of the Sharjah and Emirate heritage. The different cultures of the world will also be showcased in the festival.

The chairman of the organizing committee and director of Sharjah Institute for Heritage, Dr. Abdull Aziz Al Musalam said the event named as Sharjah Heritage Days has always been motivating the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect among the different countries that represent the diverse culture of each nation. To this Dr. Al Musallam added, the event has bridged conversations among the various civilizations over the years.

The citizens of the Emirates have benefited from the event as they get exposed to so many different cultures and traditions. The committee of the event is sure that the 16th edition of the Sharjah Heritage Festival will offer a bigger perspective to its visitors which will sew them closer to the various cultures that are practiced around the globe.

31 countries from around the globe will be participating in the event where 16 cultural discussions will be held. Besides this, a social media cafe will be celebrated along with handicrafts, folklore stories and ancient buildings. One exclusive exhibition will be held which will be themed on the Year of Zayed.

Culture and heritage have been an important part of UAE and the Sharjah Heritage Festival which is in its 16th year.
