Moroccan Heritage and Culture Being Showcased in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is hosting “Morocco in Abu Dhabi 2019” event from 17th to 30th April at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, accordance with the aim of fortifying ties between the UAE and Morocco. This year, at the event, the cultural and artistic treasures of Morocco would be on display. Visitors would get the chance to study Morocco’s rich heritage in the field of architecture, music, art, and cuisine. In addition, components of Moroccan craftsmanship through different generations and also the work of designers would be on display. Starting from customs to traditions, fashion and the Moroccan Heritage Museum would be all displayed in an amazing and stylish manner to delight the senses of visitors.
This edition commemorates Moroccan women and their unique character of magnanimity, commitment, instinct, vision and creativity. The event would also display Morocco’s traditional architecture; distinguished by its severity and authentic identity.
Visitors would be entertained by Moroccan music, which includes traditional, spiritual, and tribal Moroccan rhythms under one roof. Artists will present their talents as musicians.
Traditional industry fanatics will have the opportunity to analyze and discover the skilled and gifted talents of Moroccan craftsmanship, who can transform the old heritage and the Arabic Islamic tradition; such as brassware, jewelry, saddle making, raffia shoes, embroidery, Cherbil, engravings on wood sculpture, pottery as well as the famous amlou, and Henna tattoo.
For the first time, the Museum of Moroccan Heritage would be present history and antiquities lovers with rare exhibit pieces, mirroring Morocco’s rich history and civilization, rooted in Arabic history and demonstrating the heritage of the many civilizations and immigrants that crossed its land throughout history.
The creative and innovative youth section indicates the creative young worlds, motivated by the design and youth symbolism from traditional engineering, as a place of Moroccan artistic expression.
