Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan believes ties with South Korea can improve even further
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces has stated that the warm relationship between South Korea and the UAE is an example of the way two countries can base their ties on common interests, mutual understanding and trust on international and regional issues.
These remarks were made by the crown prince during the official talks which took place in Abu Dhabi at the Presidential Palace, in the presence of South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The South Korean president is currently on an official state visit to the UAE. His Highness the Crown Prince welcomed the South Korean President as well as his delegation. He also expressed confidence that this visit will further strengthen the strategic partnership and strong ties between the nations.
Over the course of the meeting, both countries reviewed the bilateral cooperation in economic ties, trade, investment, energy, healthcare, science and technology. They also had a discussion on international and regional issues. The meeting also involved the Peaceful Nuclear Energy Programme of the UAE and the positive role which South Korea had in it.
The Crown Prince had immense praise for the role played by Moon Jae-in in improving the relations between the coutries. He stated that the UAE was determined to increase cooperation with South Korea in a variety of areas. He also noted that it is possible for the bilateral ties between the countries.
Sheikh Mohammed stated that he was confinement that the ties between the nations would strengthen, buoyed by the visit of President Moon Jae-in. He also complimented the efforts of South Korean companies, which are operational in the UAE, in the support they provide to the UAE’s development plans. He also hoped that there would be more cooperation between the nations in the future.
