Mohamed Welcomes World Leaders and Officials for World Government Summit

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, welcomed on Sunday a number of leaders as well as senior officials who are taking part in the 7th World Government Summit (WGS), which started in Dubai from Sunday .

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed greeted Saad Al-Hariri, Prime Minister of Lebanon. During the meeting, they deliberated the brotherly relations between the two nations and ways of bolstering it apart from going through a number of issues of mutual concern.

For the meeting Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the UAE to the Republic of Lebanon, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and Fouad Chehab Nabih Dandan, Ambassador of Lebanon to the UAE was pressnt.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also met with Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, IMF.

Sheikh Mohamed and Lagarde talked on the likelihood of cooperation between the UAE and the IMF,a apart from a a number of global economic, and financial issues.

The meeting was also attended by Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State.

Sheikh Mohamed also welcomed Guillaume Faury, Airbus Chief Executive Officer, and deliberated with him on a number of aviation related issues and different ways  to upgrade the existing partnership between Airbus and UAE airlines.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed even met with David Beasley, Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme.

His Highness and the guests also shared views on the significance of the World Government Summit and its crucial role in submitting ideas, projects and specific drives that would help governments all over the world to attain sustainable development and growth for peoples.
