Mohamed Bin Zayed Welcomes Malaysian King in Abu Dhabi

On 13th June, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, greeted the King of Malaysia, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, in Abu Dhabi. His Majesty Sultan Abdullah is currently on a trip to the nation. Since being crowned as Malaysia’s 16th king, it is Sultan Abdullah’s first visit to the nation.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed greeted Sultan Abdullah at Qasr Al Watan in the capital. The Malaysian King was given an official reception ceremony and the national anthem of his country was played. Moreover, a 21-gun salute was fired in Sultan Abdullah’s honor.

During the bilateral meeting, the leaders elaborated on ways of boosting co-operation between their respective nations, including increasing investment and development opportunities.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed also welcomed the high-ranking officials who accompanied His Majesty Sultan Abdullah.  Those who welcomed the Malaysian King were Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council; H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Board Chairman of the Presidential Flight; H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; Theyab bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan; Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Executive Director of the Martyrs’ Families’ Affairs Office; and Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Director of the Office of the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region.
