On Tuesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, welcomed the UAE Passport Power team from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC), in attendance of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed lauded the team’s endeavor and role played for bolstering the UAE passport and its status as the most powerful passport of the world; under the direction and support of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed. He enthusiastically stated that with the UAE passport acquiring the first place in the Global Passport Power Rank, the efforts taken by the Emiratis add a new historic achievement to the country’s record of accomplishment. It is a notable feat as it clashed with the Year of Zayed and UAE’s 47th National Day revelry.
The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince emphasized on the success, pointing that this feat exemplifies the UAE’s global strategic image under the administration of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and mirrors the deep respect, admiration and trust the country enjoys in regional and international fields.
For the meeting H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and ADNOC Group CEO, were also present.
The UAE passport got ranked No. 27 in December 2016 on the Global Passport Power Rank index. This year in October, it was ranked No. 4 and on 8th November, it was ranked No. 3. On 1st December, the UAE’s passport became the most powerful one globally.
