Imran Khan visits UAE
Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, was welcomed by the UAE, linking the historic connections which had been established by the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The PM was received by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and also the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the UAE.
The visit was meant to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and also to ponder on the relationship shared currently.
The two parties discussed the mutual cooperation between the countries to benefit the people of both Pakistan and the UAE. The two countries share traditional and historical values.
Issues of regional and international dimensions were discussed as well, specifically the fight against extremism in the region and in the greater world.
There were also talks of increasing economic coordination and bilateral investments. The countries would try to overcome all the hurdles in the smooth flow of investments as Pakistan is a significant trade partner of the UAE.
The UAE also assured of keeping up its humanitarian and development works in Pakistan. The assistance offered by the UAE to Pakistan was also appreciated which included the sectors like education, water, roads and more.
The two sides also carried out discussions on the recent issues and stressed on the significance of a peaceful solution to the regional crisis.
Both the countries showed their satisfaction over the convergence of their views on regional and global issues and agreed to follow tolerance , inclusiveness and the development agenda to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Prime Minister Imran Khan showed his genuine appreciation for the hospitality and welcome that he received in the country. He also extended an invitation to Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for visiting Pakistan and it was happily accepted.
