The Midfield Terminal Building (MTB), which is Abu Dhabi’s new international airport, would become the first airport terminal in the region to profit from ultra-high speed connectivity, which is going to be offered by Etisalat’s 5G networks.
The arrangement is based on C-Band, a first-of-its-kind in 5G digital indoor technology delivering gigabit per second download speeds. This accomplishment has been allowed by the cooperation between Etisalat and Abu Dhabi Airports to provide the 5G network at MTB before its official launch.
Saeed Al Zarouni, Senior Vice President, Mobile Network of Etisalat, stated that they are very glad to start the functioning of 5G in Abu Dhabi’s new international airport. He would like to extend his appreciation to all the teams involved from Etisalat and Abu Dhabi Airports in making this 5G disposition a success, which will establish a standard by offering a platform to allow new futuristic use cases and digital change for all customers.
