Dubai Going To Open a New Cardiovascular Centre

The Executive Council of Dubai has certified the establishment of an international cardiovascular centre. The international cardiovascular centre would be set up jointly by the private and public sectors. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) came up with the suggestion of developing such kind of centre.

The new cardiovascular centre will be armed with best-in-class technologies and apparatus. It would be operating as per the highest international standards. It will also assist in the transfer of knowledge and competence in relation to the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, which according to the World Health Organization (WHO) is one of the main reasons of death in the world.

The new centre perfectly matches with the growth needs of Dubai. The emirate would need 300 beds for patients with cardiovascular diseases by 2030. It would mark an annual growth of 7% between 2018 and 2030. The centre forms a part of the public-private partnership (PPP) plan and has been developed under the Dubai Plan 2021.
