At AFC Asian Cup 2019, UAE Promotes Tolerance
Fans that were present at the AFC Asian Cup showed their full support for the UAE National Team, during the team’s match against Australia at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. It also mirrored the meaning of noble human values which the nation is receiving, in return for the tolerant approach that is being exhibited by the people of the country.
Mohammed Hazzam Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General of the UAE Football Federation, emphasized that the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium appeared to be a painting of love for the UAE, which was manifested by fans from different nationalities who clapped and yelled for the UAE national team playing against Australia. He appreciated the residents of the nation, who showed their love for the UAE, through their support for the Emirati players.
Ismail Mattar, National Team Captain, lauded the support offered by the fans for the UAE national team, and also thanked the audience for cheering the players during the match.
Also, goalkeeper Khalid Issa thanked the fans as they displayed their support to the national team who were playing against Australia, while stating that their appreciable presence was apparent and it motivated the players’ to give a good performance.
In fact, UAE residents hailing from diverse nationalities emphasized that their support for the UAE National Team forms a part of their duty towards the country, which supports them and offers them a satisfactory life.
Ossama Mohammed Saleh, who hails from Egypt, stated that by supporting the Emirati team is a moral duty for all residents, while stating that the UAE is the country of giving and tolerance, which dispenses the ideal environment for everyone so that they can work and live together.
Syrians Mohammed Abdullah and Ahmed Amer even mentioned that all UAE residents are happy with the team’s result as they qualified for the semi-finals.
