His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, was received by King Abdullah II of Jordan in New York. The two leaders of the two countries met in order to integrate and consult on different issues and developments within the region.
The meeting was arranged on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the residence of King Abdullah in New York. During the meeting, both sides echoed the strength of historical as well as brotherly relation shared among the two nations. At the same time, both nations showed their willingness to extend cooperation in various sectors.
Sheikh Abdullah communicated the greetings made by the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces to the Jordanian King. He also communicated their wishes for Jordan to attain further advancement and growth.
In return, the Jordanian King exchanged his wishes for the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and also wished further growth of the UAE.
The UAE’s Foreign Minister accentuated the deep ties between the UAE and Jordan. Moreover, King Abdullah asserted his acknowledgment for the ongoing support offered by the UAE to Jordan under the command of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa.
Yousef Al Otaiba, UAEs Ambassador to the US, and Ayman Al Safadi, Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates were also present during the meeting.
