According to official statistics that was disclosed by Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing on Sunday showed that Dubai welcomed 15.92 million overnight tourist visitors in 2018, up 0.8% from 2017.
Tourist numbers from China raised 12%, with Saudi Arabia keeping its place as the second-biggest nation of origin for visitors, growing by 3% to 1.6 million in comparison to 2017.

Generally, Dubai and the UAE have been enforcing measures to bolster tourism to the nation, which includes permitting the Russians and Chinese visas on arrival, acts that have aided to expand visitor numbers from the respective nations.
Dubai has been increasing its schedule of events and coming up with new attractions to lure visitors. The emirate has presented itself as a family-friendly destination with theme parks such as Marvel-inspired IMG World of Adventures and Dubai Parks and Resorts.
The UK was able to preserve its third spot as a source market with 1.2 million visitors.
China reached to the fourth spot, with tourist numbers rising 12% to 857,000, while Russia rose two places to attain sixth position with a 28% uptick in the number of travelers to 678,000.
The number of German tourists rose 12% to 567,000. At the same time, the number of hotel rooms and apartments rose 8% to about 116,000 across 716 establishments, with average occupancy reaching 76%.
